For the sake of sharing purposes, guests may now view the discussion/debate forum. They simply can not reply to any posts. However, there is more than meets the eye even for citizens. At first, the whole messageboard is hidden from view until a member posts at least 25 times to become a citizen. As a citizen, the election forums come into view; and as you declare your political affiliation (Republican, Democrat, Independant), you will also be able to view your respective parties' individual forums. I am open to creating other political affiliations as well when the time comes, as we are certainly not restricted to the two-party system of our real world. For now, we will cross that bridge when we come to it.
Generally, viewing different parts of the site is to obviously encourage participation. However, as the site attracts membership, we will also begin election cycles. Once you reach citizenship status, you will be able to view the House and Senate Chambers as well as the White House and Supreme Court. These all have functions to be filled as the site generates traffic. The goal is to allow a forum where the members may govern themselves. The House and Senate will approve rules of expression for all members. The President and Vice-President will serve as moderators. My goal as admin is to decrease my role to a judicial one, as the Chief Justice; so basically, as the site gains more activity and participation in the election process, I will slowly cede the governance of the site to the members.
Due to the state of development at the moment, I will not display the full version of what the messageboard looks like in this post at this time.
Thanks,
Arch.
